Kim Hyun Joong Holds the most awaited Fan Meeting after 4 Years

Kim Hyun Joong of SS501 recently discharged from military ,held his first fan meeting ‘2017 Kim Hyun Joong Fan Meeting Anemone‘ on April 29th. It was his Fanmeeting the fans most awaited for 4 years since his long dragging controversies.


In the Fanmeet he stated, “I’ve unreasonably held a fan meeting. I felt that if I didn’t take this chance, it would be a long time until I see you. Though I’m very apologetic, it turns out I’m holding this event.” He continued, “Four years can be seen as a short yet long time. I plan to go on a Japan tour in June.”

On February 26th they had their first plea date in their paternity lawsuit at the Seoul Family Court. At the trial, both parties were in a conflict about the issue about their child’s custody and support.


Hyun Joong’s lawyer claimed that the artist wants to raise the child as it was proven (DNA 99.9% match) that the child is indeed Hyun Joong’s son. Also stated that Ms. Choi has no legal right to sue him, but if she decides to file for custody, Hyun Joong will do the same.


According to the judge’s statement, the jury is currently in discussion with regard to the brought up issues, and the matter is indeed something both parties can negotiate between each other.

On August 4, KBS’s “Music Bank” World Tour will take place in Singapore and will be joined by SHINee, CNBLUE, BTS, MAMAMOO, and Red Velvet. The World Tour will be hosted by actor Park Bo Gum and Red Velvet’s Irene, who had a great chemistry together in the show until June2016.

By April 28, it was announced that actor Park Bo Gum and Red Velvet’s Irene will be acting as special MCs for KBS’s “Music Bank” World Tour 2017.

Tao's Lawsuit against SM entertaintment has been Dismissed

The Seoul Central District Court has dismissed former EXO member Tao's lawsuit which asked to reexamine the exclusive contract between him and SM Entertainment.


Tao filed to leave EXO and SM Entertainment in August of 2015, and also lost a lawsuit regarding a temporary payment claim. This latest decision seems to declare SM Entertainment the overall victor of the lawsuits.


SM also stated the following,


"Hello, this is SM Entertainment.



On April 28, 2017, the Seoul Central District Court concluded the dismissal of Tao's claim to reexamine the efficiency of his exclusive contract. As a result, his entire lawsuit has been made void.



SM Entertainment welcomes the court's decision, and promises to carry out even more active business in China and Asia. Through this decision, we also hope that a system of abiding by the terms of fair entertainment contracts will be practiced widely, and expect further developments in the progress of entertainment industries in Korea, China, and the rest of Asia."

Jeon Hye Bin Reveals about how her relationship with Lee Jun Ki has happened

The April 27 broadcast of 'Happy Together 3' actress Jeon Hye Bin expressed her feelings for boyfriend and fellow actor Lee Jun Ki.

TVXQ fans opened a library in the name of Yunho

TVXQ 's Yunho recently discharged from his military service. Fans of U-Know and Cassies from all around Asia donated to build an Library in Name of their beloved oppa.

The “U-Know Yunho Library” will be opening next month,it  is located in the Sochon Art Factory space in the Gwangsan district of Yunho’s hometown Gwangju.

The Gwangsan district planned to dedicate the library space to arts and culture, and they will be providing books related to these topics.Also space for exhibition has been allocated.

Construction of the library began in February 2017  Yunho’s fans donated money to celebrate his birthday. Groups of his fans from across Asia, including his Chinese fan site “MyYunho,” “KACHIKAJA Be with Yunho” from Japan, and “Korea’s Most Precious Gift in the World Jung Yunho,” collectively raised 27 million won (approximately $23,793). This amount was then donated to the community fund for Gwangju Social Welfare. Also been reported that 1,000 books will be donated from a fan meeting.

Kyuhyun Military Enlistment Date has been confirmed!

Super Junior’s Maknae Kyuhyun is currently an MC on MBC’s  Radio Star, will be enlisting in the army as a public service worker.

On April 24 SM entertaintment revealed that “Kyuhyun will enter the Nonsan Army Training Center on May 25.”

All the members of Super Junior have completed or will be completing their mandatory military service. Leeteuk, Kim Heechul, Yesung, Kangin, Sungmin, and Shindong have finished their service, while Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, and Ryeowook are serving in the army now.

Nam Joo Hyuk hinted their relationship from the start!

YG actor Nam Joo Hyuk’s comments about his ideal type in interviews after the completion of MBC’s “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo” are attracting attention.

KARD sells out their tickets for first tour

KARD has not officially debuted yet, although has proven their popularity by selling out their first tour in Brazil within hours of ticket selling.


They were supposed to hold four fan signing events in Fortaleza, Salvador, Recife and Rio de Janeiro, along with one show in Sao Paulo.Due to the high demand, the group has decided to add two shows in Sao Paulo and a fan signing event in Recife.

Man To Man Surpasses Strong Woman Do Bong Soon Viewer Ratings for the first episode

JTBC's New Drama “Man to Man,” which took over the time slot that was previously occupied by super popular “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon,” has surpassed its viewer ratings for its first episode.

“Man to Man” aired its first episode April 21 and recorded an average viewer rating of 4.055% nationwide. Previously, “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon” recorded an viewer rating of 3.829% for its first episode and, by surpassing this percentage, “Man to Man” has recorded the highest viewer rating for a first drama episode ever for JTBC.


The success of the first episode of “Man to Man” was possible because of actor Park Hae Jin (because his previous drama cheese in the trap was a huge success), who plays the lead role of undercover agent Kim Sul Woo. The refreshingly unique narrative, the compelling characters, and impressive action scenes have drawn viewers into the spy drama that isn’t really a spy drama.


Park Hae Jin recently talked about how his role in “Man to Man” stands out from his other roles and his co-star actor Park Sung Woong joked about having too many lines in “Man to Man.” & “Our drama has sadness, romance, and action. The viewers will be able to watch it comfortably.”

During the drama’s press conference on April 18, Park Sung Woong said, “I play a confident yet prickly character this time. This is my first time playing this kind of role, but I think the character has been created well and the viewers will like it.”

Park Bo Young Gets Hurt By Malicious Comments!

During an interview on April 19, Park Bo Young opened up about a relatable concern regarding compliments and criticism.


The actress admitted that she did read malicious comments. “I do get hurt by them, but I learn about things I do that people don’t like to see. I think about whether my voice is too whiny or if any of my actions make them uncomfortable. When they tell me I always look the same when I cry, I think of ways to cry differently,” she revealed.


She then shared about a specific concern. “When people compliment me, I don’t put much meaning into them, but when they say bad things, I take them too seriously. I try to fix this mentality but it’s hard. Personally, I think getting obsessed with yourself is the most dangerous thing. Since I’m a human being, I only want to hear nice things, but I feel like I would just end up believing them and getting obsessed with myself. I don’t want this to happen,” she expressed.


“Whenever people say nice things to me, I think they’re just saying them because I’m standing right in front of them. Even when I read articles that say good things about me, I forget about them right away. When I read about people pointing out my flaws, however, I think about them a lot,” she confessed.

Starting July, JTBC will be airing a series of web-dramas


Director Oh Hwan Min stated, “We have decided to go forth with this long-term project to create diverse contents and provide a chance for rookie directors and writers to build experience. We will put out fresh projects with this unconstrained platform.”


JTBC’s web-dramas will begin airing on July 31.








The first web-drama will be called “A Person You Could Know”, which is about a person that unlocks an ex-lover’s phone and reminisces about love. Girls’Generation’s Sooyoung,Lee Won Geun, and Shim Hee Sup as leads.The short drama centers around how modern society looks up people on social media. It will tackle the issue of how you can know the people around you but not actually know yourself.

The second drama has a hip-hop theme and is called “Hip-Hop Teacher” . It’s about a elementary music teacher who is bored of life and creates a hip-hop project for fun. Actress Lee Joo Young, Girl’s Day’s Yura, and An Woo Yeon have been cast as the main characters.


The third drama is called “Somehow 18” . A man who was an outsider during his school days travels back in time to when he was 18 years old and tries to save his first love from death. Although it sounds heavy, it’s actually a romantic comedy that is expected to provide entertainment for viewers.







The fourth project is a fantasy drama titled “Magic School” . It centers on four students who enter a school of magic due to different reasons. GOT7’s Jinyoung, 2PM’s Nichkhun, and Yoon Park will be starring as leads.

Man X Man is the First Korean Drama picked by Netflix!

Global streaming giant Netflix has obtained exclusive international broadcasting right to JTBC’s new series, “Man x Man.” The deal makes “Man x Man” the first non-Netflix original South Korean drama to be aired internationally by the streaming giant. According to Netflix, the series will have subtitles in over 20 different languages.

Set to start airing on April 21 on JTBC, the fully-completed series will be simultaneously broadcast in the 190 countries that Netflix services, excluding South Korea and the U.S.

In South Korea, each episode will be made available on Netflix within an hour of JTBC’s local broadcast, while in the U.S., the 16 episodes will be available in two 8-episode instalments.

Written by Kim Won-suk, the scriptwriter behind 2015’s biggest hit “Descendants of the Sun,” “Man x Man” sees the story of a “ghost” bodyguard of famous celebrities. Starring Park Hae-jin Park Sung-woong  and Kim Min-jung .

Zhou Wei claims that Kris talked bad about former and current members of EXO using initials. Kris reportedly stated that 'L' is a pig head (a Chinese derogatory term referencing a dumb person), 'Z' is a sly jerk, and that 'H' is a terrible singer.

Park Bo Young Talks About What She Would Do If She Had Super Strength

During a wrap-up interview of “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon” on April 17, Park Bo Young stated that she would lift up the Sewol Ferry if she had super strength like Do Bong Soon. She added, “Since my character Do Bong Soon is very light-hearted, I’m afraid that this may sound light-hearted also. But I am one of many citizens who were in pain after hearing news of the Sewol Ferry.”

The actress continued, “I don’t understand why people are hesitant to speak about the ferry incident. Sewol Ferry isn’t a governmental issue. I saw a quote online that said, ‘We cannot forget because it has not ended.’ There actually are students that still haven’t been able to go back to their families’ arms. I don’t think we should ever forget about the incident to support those beautiful students that were on Sewol Ferry.”

Details about EXO CBX Japanese debut!

EXO-CBX will be making their official debut in Japan with the mini album 'Girls' on May 24.

Military Manpower Administration to take charge of celebrity enlistment !

The Republic of Korea Military Manpower Administration (MMA) announced that they'll be directly handling the enlistment of celebrities from now on.


Earlier this month, the MMA sent an official letter to a number of entertainment agencies requesting cooperation. The letter also requests the agencies to submit information on their artists, as well as trainees born between January 1, 1980, to December 31, 1999.


The male artists mentioned by the MMA include singers, actors, comedians, dancers, models, and trainees.




MMA's act on celebrity enlistment is a result of growing concern about celebrities constantly delaying enlistment due to entertainment activities.


A rep from MMA stated, "Celebrity enlistment is an interest to the whole nation. As a new law has been implemented for a thorough care, we need active cooperation from entertainment agencies."

Celebrities Who Will Return From The Army In 2017

The first man out is Kim Hyun Joong in February. The singer and actor enlisted on May 12, 2015, and served in the border patrol in the 30th division at Paju, Gyeonggi Province. His return is expected to attract media attention, as his legal battle with his ex-girlfriend is still ongoing.


The next star to be discharged is TVXQ’s Yunho, who will return to life as a civilian in April. Yunho enlisted on July 21, 2015, and he served in the military band and was awarded status as a special class soldier. Anticipation is high for his post-enlistment activities, especially since the idol had activities right up until his enlistment date, with his web drama “I Order You” and TVXQ’s special album “RISE AS GOD.”


Super Junior’s Eunhyuk and Donghae will also be making their return to the K-Pop scene three months after Yunho. Eunhyuk enlisted on October 13, 2015, and has also been serving in the military band. He will be discharged on July 12. Donghae, who enlisted two days after Eunhyuk as a conscripted policeman, will also be discharged two days after his fellow member.


The following month of August will see three more of the 2nd-generation idol group members returning to the stage. TVXQ’s Changmin and Super Junior’s Choi Siwon enlisted together as conscripted policemen on November 19, 2015, and will be discharged on August 18. Changmin’s return will mark the comeback of TVXQ as a complete duo, while fans of Super Junior will have to wait a little longer for Ryeowook, who enlisted just last year, and Kyuhyun, who will be enlisting this year.


The third celebrity to be discharged in August is JYJ’s Park Yoochun, who is currently serving as a public service worker in a district office in Gangnam. Park Yoochun had been accused of sexual assault in June last year, but was acquitted of the charges in July. His fellow member Kim Jaejoong was discharged just days ago on December 30, but the third of the trio, Junsu, will be enlisting on February 9.


Finally, Lee Seung Gi, who enlisted on February 1 last year, will be discharged in October. The actor, who debuted as a singer, released a single titled “I’m Going To The Army” right before his enlistment. He is currently serving as a special forces soldier at the Special Warfare Command.
