Gong Yoo Talks about Train to Busan Sequel

Last summer, Gong Yoo starred in the movie “Train To Busan,” which placed first in box offices in South Korea, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Just two months after the premiere of his movie, Gong Yoo began filming for tvN’s “Goblin,” which helped him win over many fans’ hearts overseas.




In his recent interview with Sports Chosun Gong Yoo revealed about the potential Sequel for the super hit movie Train to Busan.


When asked if he would consider appearing in a sequel to “Train to Busan,” Gong Yoo that he would love too also explained “I talked about this with Director Yeon Sang Ho, and I said that I thought my character Seok Woo might be living somewhere as a zombie.” for which the Director answered " when Seok Woo fell off the train, he broke his neck and died,” Gong Yoo says with a laugh. “But I suppose since Ma Dong Seok‘s character is living on as a zombie, they could do a sequel from his character’s perspective.”

Also he said "Train to Busan 2" storyline will most probably be revolving around Gong Yoo's Seok Woo character. The movie will further explore the possibility of bringing the dead back to life by discovering a cure for the growing zombie dominance.





Meanwhile, Gong Yoo is currently looking for his next project and also ranked first in the Korean Business Research Institute’s spokesmodel brand reputation rankings for February.

The actor is currently holding fan meets overseas.The slogan for his fan meetings is, “Live your dream, Hear your dream, you are my dream,” which is creating more anticipation for fans in Hong Kong and Taiwan.





During a press conference before fan meet in Taiwan on April 28, he was asked by a fan, “Why don’t you use social media?”

Gong Yoo began, “First off, I don’t like taking selfies. When I go somewhere, I’d rather be looking at the sights with my eyes rather than take pictures.”

He explained, 

             “Part of the reason why I don’t use social media is that because it’s to show people, some parts of it will not be genuine. It makes me uncomfortable to show things in a packaged way like that,
 Everyone will have a different opinion on this. This isn’t about good or bad. These are just my personal feelings.”
